MaetaGods is an 8-bit, play-to-earn action RPG where players fight against the gods on the path to ascension. Each character NFT is created by the union of mortals, demigods, and titans. Players are able to customize their character NFT avatars and gain access to unique characters and abilities. They will team up with each other and fight epic bosses, while slowly becoming true gods themselves.
Along with combating deadly creatures, the MetaGods in-game economy also enables users to exchange virtual products with the tokens and allows them to earn real money for their experiences in the epic dungeon boss fights.
What is the project trying to achieve?
GameFi video game projects run on a blockchain network, which grants players the ability to verify the ownership of the virtual items in the game. In contrast to traditional gaming, where users play to win, GameFi projects aim to not only entertain, but also deliver monetary value.
MetaGods is a project where the game and blockchain mechanics have been created in unison. Each serves to reinforce the other and create an experience that blends together. MetaGods ‘s team has put a lot of effort into the platform and plans to support it long term. There are even more exciting features yet to be announced, and this is only the beginning of an amazing journey the project will embark on in the near future.
What is unique selling point?
MetaGods features casual and hardcore game types. Casual gamers can explore the game’s universe and farm thanks to the game’s play-to-earn aspects. NFT permadeath is introduced in Hardcore, although APY and legendary loot rates are increased. The real fun begins in this mode.
For seasoned gamers, hardcore mode amplifies the stakes. Winners earn items of increasing rarity and value but must risk their best characters in order to survive. This strategy, a first in the industry, adds to the game’s suspense and adventure. These are only the beginnings in the realms of Atlantis and Zion. For the last quarter of 2021, MetaGods is now concentrating its efforts on the game trailer, Early Access Dungeons, DeFi farming, and Generative NFT Characters.
GamePlay
When characters are generated, they also will provide the rarity of the character. Each character will then have 6 base abilities that will be rolled. They are:
- Strength
- Dexterity
- Charisma
- Intelligence
- Wisdom
- Constitution
Based on these attributes and your character class/rarity, it will yield your character stats.
Stats include your character’s Health Points (HP), Mana Points (MP), Attack Power, and Defense Power.
Since the characters are randomly generated NFTs, they can consist of different gods and rarities (body parts). Here are a few of the full gods for your reference. They are of varying rarity.
They are also implementing a leaderboard so that the top players can have their names and NFT characters displayed for the world to see.
Last but not least, they are planning to have an APE BOSS. They love apes, and they are in crypto… so they have created a boss fight that will be fun. Introducing… Balor Ape.
He’s got 4 basic animations. Weapons locked, Weapons free, and both striking positions. He is forged of fire and lightning, so Zeus’ armor would offer good relief in this battle.
On top of the drops mentioned earlier, they will also have tournaments (utilizing the leaderboard) for players to fight against each other, as well as dungeon environments. There will also be boss challenge events, similar to the boss ape. Players will have a limited time to enter these special dungeons, where the APY and rewards are the highest. If you are not well equipped for these battles, you will lose everything. The bosses all have special attacks and an incredible amount of HP. These special boss challenges will get more and more difficult as time goes by, and they will have over 50 of them. They are currently in development on these as well.
With heavy gaming development, they plan to go to market with a real game that the world can play. They’re bringing blockchain gaming to the next level, and it would be an honor to have your support.
