BiSwap Reaches Unicorn Status

The BiSwap Exchange on Binance Smart Chain surpassed $1 Billion in total volume locked (TVL) on Dec. 16th, as the protocol turned in $286 million trading volume in 24hrs. The protocol now sits firmly in the top 10 of BSC and flirts with the top 5. 

The Binance Smart Chain network is home to just a handful of billion-dollar protocols, and BiSwap should feel proud of this achievement. BiSwap’s time above the $1 billion mark was short-lived as the TVL fell back to $950 Million on Dec. 17th.

The achievement, albeit shortlived, was recognized by the official Binance Labs Twitter account, sending a congratulatory tweet that read: 

“What an achievement, and congrats to @Biswap_Dex “

The BiSwap team doesn’t plan to settle under the $1 billion, judging by their response to the Binance Labs tweet: 

“Thank you, @BinanceLabs, for your support! @Biswap_Dex aims to reach great peaks in DeFi!”

Biswap continues to ride the coattails of utility. The protocol has exploded to include PlayToEarn gaming, NFTs, and more. 

A notable attraction has been how the NFT Robbies have gained popularity recently, raking in APYs over 400%. 30,000 Christmas-themed Robbies NFTs sold out in 30 minutes on Dec. 16th as well. The project also has over 100,000 Telegram followers and is aiming to get 200,000. 

According to data at CoinGecko, the native $BSW token currently sits at $1.75, down 17% from its all-time high of $2.13 it hit the previous week on Dec. 8th.
