Crypto moves fast, and industry compensation data is scarce — especially comprehensive analyses. This can be a stumbling block for startups seeking to strategically navigate their growth. Dragonfly’s first annual compensation survey was developed in response to this gap.

We started by asking our founders exactly what they wanted to understand about compensation. From there, we spent considerable time from there designing an appropriate survey, and cleaning, analyzing, and figuring out the most powerful way to present the data.

👉 Access the report here — no email, downloads, etc required. (It’s just formatted better on Notion.)

Here’s what’s covered:

  1. Salary, Equity, and Token Compensation Bands
  2. Founder Compensation
  3. Cost-of-Living Adjustments and Methodologies
  4. Payment Methods (Fiat versus Crypto)
  5. Company Likelihood of Having a Token
  6. Token/Equity Compensation Offerings
  7. Relationship Between Tokens and Equity
  8. Token Calculation Methodologies

We’ll be providing our portfolio with access to a more granular dataset, but we hope this report provides a clear picture of industry trends in a way that’s both accessible and useful to anyone setting, negotiating, or attempting to understand compensation, be they hiring teams, candidates, or industry observers.

We realize this data can be sliced and diced in many ways, and we may not have addressed all of your questions. Email us at [email protected] if there’s something specific you’re curious about.
